Estranged Student Bursary at University College London (UCL) 2024

The Estranged Student Bursary aims to provide financial support to UK students who meet the definition of estrangement from their families, enabling them to pursue their undergraduate studies at UCL.

Eligibility Criteria:

Applicant:

• Must be domiciled in the UK with a Home fee status.
• Must be aged under 25 and classified as an independent student on the grounds of estrangement by Student Finance.
• Must hold an offer of admission to UCL for a full-time undergraduate degree for the 2024/25 intake or be currently enrolled in a full-time undergraduate degree at UCL.

Value of the Scholarship:

GBP 1,000 per year for the duration of the undergraduate program, subject to the student remaining under the age of 25. The bursary is awarded to cover maintenance costs.

Application Process:

• No separate application is required.
• Apply for student finance with your Regional Funding Authority.
• Fill out a Confirmation Of Estrangement Form for the academic year.
• UCL will automatically assess you for the bursary based on your status confirmation from your Regional Funding Authority.

Deadlines:

There is no specific deadline for the Estranged Student Bursary. Applicants are encouraged to apply for student finance and complete the Confirmation Of Estrangement Form as soon as possible.
