ETH4D Doctoral Scholarships 2025

ETH4D Doctoral Scholarships 2025 promote research projects, which generate a direct impact for underprivileged people living in countries which gives them an opportunity to become excellent leaders.

Eligibility:

• The general entrance requirements for doctoral studies at the ETH Zurich and at the respective department must be fulfilled.
• Experience in the selected research area is required.
• Preference will be given to citizens of Least Developed Countries and other low-income countries according to the OECD DAC-list classification.

Additional Documents:

• CV of the candidate.
• Excellent MSc degree from a recognized university and grade transcripts.
• Support letter of the supervising professor at ETH Zurich.
• Two reference letters from the candidate's field of research.
• Relevant publications or documentation of relevant activities relating to the project.
• Bibliography.

Application Process:

• The applicant must submit the Concept Note Application Form 2025 to the ETH4D programme office by e-mail to francis.baranyk@nadel.ethz.ch.
• Applicants whose concept note is accepted must elaborate a full proposal together with the professor who agreed to supervise the project.

Value of the scholarship:

• The grant sum for Engineering For Development (E4D) Doctoral Scholarships, 2024 is  CHF 200,000.
