1. Eligibility

• This scholarship is open to international (including EU) and UK (home) students.
• Applicants must have, or be on track to gain, at least an upper second-class honours degree or equivalent in biological, chemical, physical sciences, or mathematics.
• The program welcomes students from diverse academic backgrounds who are interested in addressing biological questions.
• International applicants should verify whether they meet their country's entry requirements.
• A limited number of full studentships are available to exceptional international candidates.

2. Application Process

• To apply, candidates must complete an Expression of Interest form by 5pm, Friday 14th March 2025.
• You can apply for up to three YBDTP projects across different universities.

3. Value/Benefits

• The studentship is fully funded for four years and includes a tax-free annual stipend of £19,237 (for the 2024/25 academic year), along with tuition fees and research costs.
• International students should plan for additional expenses such as visa fees, NHS surcharge, and travel costs, as these are not covered by the funding.
