The Award was instituted in 2017 and is supported by friends of Bernard Brown as well as faculty members at the Faculty of Law. The Award's primary goal is to promote students' creative writing on legal topics.
Eligibility for Bernard Brown Literary Award 2024:
- The Award will be made annually to the student enrolled in Part II, III, or IV of an LLB or LLB (Hons) degree in the Faculty of Law who has submitted the best piece of creative writing in English or Te Reo on any aspects of law or custom or their literary, philosophical or political underpinnings in a competition organized by the Faculty of Law.
Application Process:
Students don't need to apply for this scholarship. It will be automatically applied upon enrollment with the university.
Value of Bernard Brown Literary Award 2024:
The annual value of the Award will be NZD 500.
