The Alton G. Brieger Scholarship is available to undergraduate students that are majoring in History and who have completed 30 hours at Texas State.
Eligibility Criteria for Alton G. Brieger at Texas State University 2025:
- The scholarship is available to transfer and continuing students.
- Applicants must have an overall GPA of 3.0 and a 3.3 GPA in history.
- Applicants must have completed one of the following courses within the history department:
- Hist2310
- Hist2320
- Hist2311
- Hist2312 and/or an Advance Elective at @300 or @400 level.
- Applicants must have completed at least 30 hours at Texas State University.
- Brieger Scholars are required
- to maintain an overall GPA of 3.0
- to maintain a semester-by-semester GPA of 3.3 in history.
- to register for and complete at least 12 hours per semester.
