Eligibility Criteria for the Fellowship:

Degree Requirements:

• Applicants must hold a Ph.D. degree awarded between January 1, 2023, and August 6, 2024.
• ABD (All But Dissertation) applicants may apply if they are expected to have completed their dissertation (including defense and filing) by June 15, 2025, and have already completed a substantial portion of the dissertation (at least 50%).
• Supporting Documentation for Ph.D. Holders:
• Ph.D. holders must provide proof of completion of all requirements for the degree, which can include a Ph.D. certificate, official transcript, or a degree confirmation letter from their graduate school or registrar.

Supporting Documentation for ABD Applicants:

• ABD applicants must upload a letter from their Department Chair or Director of Graduate Studies confirming "progress to degree" as part of their online application.
• If awarded the fellowship, ABD applicants must submit a formal document from their institution’s Registrar or Dean by June 15, 2025, confirming the completion of their degree.

Additional Eligibility Restrictions:

• Applicants who have previously applied to the Princeton Society of Fellows cannot reapply.
  Candidates with degrees in Education (Ed.D. or Ph.D.), Jurisprudence, or DMA are not eligible.
• Candidates who have received their Ph.D. from Princeton University are not eligible.
