Sports Scholarships (England, Wales, Northern Ireland, Republic of Ireland, EU or International)

Eligibility

• These sports scholarships are available to undergraduate and postgraduate students from England, Wales, Northern Ireland, Republic of Ireland, the EU, and internationally.
• Applicants must meet the sport-specific qualification criteria and exceed the academic conditions for entry into their respective programs.
• Scholarships are available in sports such as football, golf, swimming, tennis, and triathlon, with other sports considered on a case-by-case basis.

Benefits/Value

• The scholarship provides fee waivers to successful applicants: undergraduate students will receive £2,000 per year for up to three years, while postgraduate students are awarded £4,000 per year.
• These scholarships are part of the UK’s largest high-performance sports programme, which has supported over 700 student-athletes, many of whom have competed in Olympic, World, and Commonwealth Games.

Application Process

• Up to 18 scholarships are awarded annually.
• Applicants must apply and meet the specific sports qualification criteria. 
• The scholarships are awarded based on both sporting ability and academic performance.
• To apply, students must ensure they meet the eligibility requirements and apply through the designated scholarship process for their respective sport.
