The Ruthning Memorial Scholarship is a financial award established to support deserving first-year students studying law at The University of Queensland. It was founded in 1960 through a legacy of $4,000 by Miss E. S. D. Ruthning, in memory of her father, H. L. E. Ruthning, a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Queensland.
Eligibility Criteria:
- The applicant should be a domestic student.
- In the year of the award, the candidate should have received one of the following:
- The TC Beirne School of Law Scholarship or
- The Leadership, Excellence and Diversity (Lead) Scholarship or
- The UQLA Endowment Fund Scholarship
- The applicant must be enrolled full-time in an authorized program for the first year.
- Candidates must have finished four units of LAWS coursework during their first semester in the program that has been approved.
