Objective:
Open to current domestic Juris Doctor students or an enrolling domestic student who intends to undertake the Juris Doctor who can demonstrate an interest and commitment in furthering the mutual understanding and connections between Australia and the United States of America. This scholarship is awarded on the basis of financial need.
Eligibility for the Rusk JD Scholarship:
- Have applied for and received admission to the Melbourne JD in the upcoming intake.
- Have applied through Graduate Access Melbourne (GAM) under the 'Disadvantaged socio-economic circumstances' category.
- Have submitted a 300-word statement demonstrating an interest and commitment.
Selection criteria:
Scholarships are awarded to candidates with the highest level of financial need and the highest commitment to furthering the mutual understanding and connections between Australia and the United States of America.
Notes:
Current students who wish to be eligible for scholarships that consider financial need must submit the University of Melbourne’s Financial Assessment Form prior to submitting their application for Melbourne Law School scholarships.
