The Prize, established in 1969 by the Rotary Club of Auckland, honors the "Most Distinguished Medical Graduate of the Year." Initiated by Dr. Lloyd Richwhite, then President of the Rotary Club, and Professor Cecil Lewis, Dean of the University of Auckland's newly established Medical School, it strengthens the ties between Rotary and the medical profession.
Eligibility Criteria for the Rotary Club of Auckland Prize for the Most Distinguished Medical Graduate of the Year 2025:
The Prize will be awarded annually to the MBChB Part VI student with the most distinguished academic performance across Phases 2 and 3 (Years 4, 5 and 6) of the Medical Programme, taking into account personal qualities and all-round abilities.
Value of the Rotary Club of Auckland Prize for the Most Distinguished Medical Graduate of the Year 2025:
The value of the prize will be $5,000.
