Eligibility Criteria for the Phoenix Prize for Creative Writing at the University of Auckland 2025:
- Applicants must be enrolled in the Master of Creative Writing degree.
- The manuscript submitted for examination must demonstrate:
- High quality.
- Strong potential for commercial success.
- The manuscript must be submitted for examination by 31 July in the year of the award.
- To be considered for the prize, applicants must submit an electronic copy of their manuscript to the Selection Committee.

One Prize will be awarded annually and will be of the value of $3,500.
