Bernard Osher established the Osher Re-entry Scholarship Foundation in 1977 to support adult students at The University of Utah who are seeking their first undergraduate degree, regardless of their gender identity. This prize is valid for the academic year 2024–2025.
Eligibility for Osher Re-entry Scholarship at the University of Utah for AY 24-25:
- The applicant must be enrolled and making continuous progress toward their first bachelor's degree in their declared major.
- A semester and cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) of 2.7 or above must be attained and maintained by the candidate.
- The candidate's schooling must have been interrupted for a minimum of five years. The distance could be cumulative or sequential. (For instance, a person may have completed their high school education in 2010 but not attended college until 2015, or they may have attended college in 2010 but stopped in 2012 before returning in 2015.)
- Maintain full-time or part-time enrollment as defined by the Registrar’s office at The University of Utah for all award semesters
