John Robert Hamilton Memorial Scholarship at University of Stirling 2024

The University of Stirling offers financial aid to postgraduate students pursuing a master's degree in history through the John Robert Hamilton Memorial Scholarship. In 2009, Ruth Wright established this fellowship in memory of John Robert Hamilton, who passed away during his Master of Research program at the University of Stirling, to assist in funding postgraduate studies in Scottish history.

Eligibility for John Robert Hamilton Memorial Scholarship:

• Applicants must be born in the UK.
• Applicants must be graduates of a Scottish university or the Open University.
• Applicants must be enrolled in MRes Historical Research at the University of Stirling.

Application Process:

All eligible candidates are automatically assessed for the scholarship.

Value of the Scholarship:

John Robert Hamilton Memorial Scholarship provides an annual scholarship of GBP 1,000 to help relieve financial pressures.
