Arturo Falaschi Short-term Postdoctoral Fellowship at ICGEB 2024

ICGEB is offering Short-term fellowships for Postdoctoral studies in ICGEB Component laboratories. The fellowship proposes to fund ongoing collaborative research between scientists from ICGEB Member States and research groups at ICGEB laboratories in Trieste, Italy, New Delhi, India, and Cape Town, South Africa, to facilitate access to the latest research techniques and to strengthen capacity building.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Applicants should be nationals of an ICGEB Member State.
• Applicants must not avail of other scholarships in their home country unless they have been working abroad for at least three years. 
• Applicants should hold a recent PhD in Life Sciences.
• Applicants must have at least 3 years research experience.
• Applicants below the age of 35 are given preference.

• Interested candidates must submit an online application.
• The following documents are to be uploaded:
  • Most recent CV.
  • A written statement from the ICGEB Group Leader.
  • A valid identification document (passport or identity card).
  • English Certificate (TOEFL, Cambridge or similar). (Not required when scholastic education is done in English).

Value of the Fellowship:

• Monthly stipend: 
• Trieste (Italy): Euro 2,300.
• New Delhi (India): USD 1,590
• Cape Town (South Africa): ZAR 25,000
• Travel expenses to and fro the ICGEB lab at the beginning and completion of the fellowship.
• Visa/permit of stay application and renewal costs are reimbursed.
• Medical health insurance coverage.
