This scholarship is for domestic graduate research students in the Melbourne Medical School. It was established with a bequest from the late Gordon Paul Castles, BDSc 1944.
Eligibility for the Gordon Paul Castles Scholarship:
- Applicants must be an outstanding graduate research applicant or an enrolled graduate researcher of the Melbourne Medical School, within the Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry, and Health Sciences.
- Applicants must satisfy the Faculty's entry requirements for PhD.
Selection criteria:
Eligible applicants are selected based on academic merit, the faculty scholarship score, demonstrated skill in the relevant research area, career aspiration, and the terms and conditions of the trust.
Value of the Scholarship:
A fortnightly allowance of approximately $6,000 per year (pro rata) for up to 1 year.
