ESRC Funded Studentships in Health and Wellbeing at Brunel University London 2025

Applications are now being accepted for ESRC-funded studentships in health and wellbeing through the Grand Union Doctoral Training Partnership (GUDTP), which is administered by Brunel University London. The University of Oxford, Brunel, and the Open University have formed the exciting GUDTP partnership, which provides its students with cutting-edge social science research training at all three universities. Students enrolled in the Brunel DTP in Health and Wellbeing will be part of the GUDTP Health and Wellbeing Pathway, which is coordinated by Brunel and provided in partnership with the other three universities.

Eligibility for ESRC Funded Studentships in Health and Wellbeing at Brunel University:

• Open to all nationals.
• Studentships are available as either three-year PhDs (+3) or four-year studentships depending on the level of research training already achieved, and on a full-time or part-time basis. 

Benefits of the scholarship:

In addition to fees at the current UKRI rate for full-time or part-time courses, successful candidates for a full-time award would receive an annual maintenance stipend of around £20,662 per year (2023/4) at the UKRI rate, paid monthly in advance for the length of their award (three to four years). Pro rata payments will be sent to successful applicants for part-time awards throughout the award, which is six to eight years.
