Sir John Monash Scholarship for Distinction: Eligibility and Benefits
The Sir John Monash Scholarship for Distinction is a prestigious scholarship aimed at high-achieving Year 12 students intending to pursue the Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) and Master of Engineering pathway program at Monash University in Australia.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the Sir John Monash Scholarship for Distinction, you must meet the following requirements:

International Student status.

• Commencing undergraduate student who intends to enrol in the Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) single degree and Master of Engineering pathway program at a Monash campus in Australia.
• Currently studying Australian Year 12 or International Baccalaureate (IB).
• Achieve a minimum ATAR score of 98.00.

Benefits of the Scholarship

• The scholarship provides significant financial support over the course of your studies:
• $6,000 per annum (48 credit points of study) for the Bachelor of Engineering component.
• An additional $6,000 for the Master of Engineering component (48 credit points of study).
• Thus, the total scholarship value over the duration of the program can be up to $30,000.

Selection Criteria

• The scholarship is awarded to the highest-achieving Year 12 students based on their academic performance.
• Retaining the Scholarship
• To continue receiving the scholarship:
• Maintain a minimum Weighted Average Mark (WAM) of 70 or above each semester.

Application Process

• No application required: All eligible students who apply for an undergraduate course through VTAC will automatically be assessed for this scholarship.

• 10 scholarships are awarded annually to high-achieving students.
