The Diane Lemaire Scholarship was created with a donation from Diane Lemaire and is available to doctorate candidates studying engineering and information technology in philosophy who identify as women and who are working on a dissertation or proposal that would further their studies.

Eligibility criteria for the Diane Lemaire Scholarship at University of Melbourne 2026:

Applicants must:

be enrolled in the Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) – Engineering and IT in the field of Engineering
identify as a woman (cis-gender or transwoman)
have met the requirements for confirmation of candidature
be undertaking a research project or proposal that enhances their PhD research

Value of Diane Lemaire Scholarship at University of Melbourne 2026:

This scholarship provides a one-off payment of between $4000–$15,000. The number and value of the awards made is at the discretion of the Selection Committee.
