Eligibility Criteria for DAAD Combined Study and Practice Stays for Engineers from Developing Countries (KOSPIE) with Indian IITs 2026:

Applicants must:

Be enrolled as a Master’s level engineering student at an Indian Institute of Technology (IIT).
Be pursuing an engineering or technology discipline.
Have excellent academic performance.
Have a confirmed academic supervisor/host at a German university for project or thesis work.
Be nominated or supported by their home IIT.
Plan to undertake study-related project work or Master’s thesis in Germany.

Value of DAAD Combined Study and Practice Stays for Engineers from Developing Countries (KOSPIE) with Indian IITs 2026:

Scholarship payments of 992 euros per month
Payments towards health, accident and liability insurance cover
4 to 6 weeks German course at the host university
One-off research allowance of 266 euros
