Charlie Selman Sustainability Award 2024 at Swinburne University of Technology 2025

Eligibility for the Charlie Selman Sustainability Award

The Charlie Selman Sustainability Award is open to both local and international students. To be eligible, applicants must:

• Be a final year undergraduate student at Swinburne University in 2024.
• Be completing a capstone project focused on environmental and sustainability topics such as water quality, greenhouse gas emissions, waste management, biodiversity, or environmental education.
• Be enrolled full-time in an eligible course (single or double degree) and studying on-campus at the time of their final year project.

Application Process for the Charlie Selman Sustainability Award

• To apply for the Charlie Selman Sustainability Award, applicants must:
• Submit a short statement (500 words max) and a 2-4 minute video discussing their commitment to sustainability and their capstone project.
• Upload the video to a cloud-based storage service (e.g., Google Drive) and provide a downloadable link in an MS Word document.
• Submit an academic reference from a Swinburne staff member, such as a unit convenor or project supervisor, who can comment on their academic studies and suitability for the award.
