The main purpose of the Bartrum Memorial Prize in Geology at the University of Auckland is to recognize and reward excellence in study and research in the Earth Sciences.
Eligibility Criteria for the Bartrum Memorial Prize in Geology at the University of Auckland 2025:
- Applicants must be enrolled in one of the following programs:
- Bachelor of Advanced Science (Honours) in Geology
- Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Earth Sciences
- Master of Science in Earth Sciences
- Master of Engineering Geology
- For the $600 Prize:
- Applicants must have completed the requirements for the relevant program.
- The award will be based on the best research project, dissertation, or thesis completed in the year of the award.
- Applicants must have achieved First Class Honours as a minimum standard.
- For the $400 Prize:
- Applicants must be enrolled in Stage III of a Bachelor of Science at the University of Auckland.
- Applicants must have achieved the highest grade point average (GPA) across their best 60 points in Stage III Earth Sciences courses.
- A minimum GPA of 7.00 (equivalent to an A average) is required to be eligible for the prize.
Value of Bartrum Memorial Prize in Geology at the University of Auckland 2025:
Successful applicants will receive a scholarship valued between $400 and $600.
Application Process:
