Financial Planning Australia have established these scholarships with the support of The Office for Women, Prime Minister and Cabinet to assist women intending to upskill or refresh their skills in finance and economics to help them enter, re-enter and achieve leadership roles in these industries.
Eligibility for the Women in Finance and Economics Scholarship:
- Applicants must be female students, and those who identify as female, who are commencing a degree with the University of Tasmania in Finance or Economics in 2023.
- Candidates should be enrolled in the Bachelor of Business or Bachelor of Business Honours must be intending to/or interested in pursuing a major in Finance, Accounting, Business Economics or Business Analytics.
- Applicants must be Australian citizens, or hold a permanent residency visa.
Retaining the scholarship:
To retain this award, recipients are required to achieve a minimum Pass result in all units studied each semester.
