Westpac Future Leaders Scholarship 2025

Westpac Future Leaders Scholarships, 2025 are open to candidates with the potential to make a difference to Australia's future in one of our three focus areas:

• Sustainability, technology, and innovation
• Strengthening Australia-Asia ties
• Enabling positive social change

The scholarship is worth up to AUD 120,000 towards research/coursework studies for about 2-3 years duration

Eligibility Criteria:

• Applicants must be Australian citizens or permanent residents.
• Applicants must complete their first undergraduate degree by 31 December 2024.
• Applicants must have achieved an average result of H1 or H2A equivalent or approx 75 WAM.
• Applicants must have chosen to undertake a full-time Master's by coursework or research or a PhD at one of the participating university partners.
• Applicants must commence study in 2025.
• Applicants must study in an area that will contribute to the future of Australia in one of the Trust's priority funding areas.
• Applicants must be able to attend the National Selection Panel to be held in Sydney on 4-5 December 2024.
• Applicants must be able to attend the Westpac Scholars Summit on 7-8 April 2025.

Application Process:

• All eligible candidates must complete an online assessment sent to the host university along with the completed application.
• The application should include two letters of reference.
• The university's selection panel will shortlist the candidates.
• Finalists will be invited to attend the National Assessment Centre in Sydney to be interviewed by a National Selection Panel.

Value of the Scholarship:

The successful candidates are awarded a sum of up to AUD 120,000 towards the tuition and living expenses.
