Waikato Management School Emerging Leaders Award 2024

Purpose:

The Award supports emerging leaders to undertake a Master of Business Administration (MBA) at the University of Waikato.

Eligibility for the Waikato Management School Emerging Leaders Award:

• Applicants must be Emerging Leaders within their regional community.
• Students should have applied for, and been accepted into the MBA.
• Candidate should not have been a previous recipient of any Waikato Management School (WMS) University of Waikato Scholarship or Award for the MBA or PGDip(MgtSt).
• Students should be a New Zealand citizen, NZ Permanent Resident, NZ Resident Class Visa holder, or Australian Citizen/Permanent Resident domiciled in NZ.

Selection Criteria:

• Leadership contribution to Business and the Community.
• Potential leadership.
• Management experience.
• The impact the MBA qualification will have on the applicant’s business and/or regional economy.

Application Process:

Students need to submit an application form along with a personal statement to the university to be eligible for the scholarship.

Value of the Scholarship:

Up to four awards of $4,000 will be offered each year.
