University of Dar Es Salaam LLM and Ph.D. Scholarships, 2022-23

The University of Dar Es Salaam is offering scholarships to pursue LLM and Ph.D. programs.

Eligibility for LLM and Ph.D. Scholarships:

• The candidates applying for University of Dar Es Salaam LLM and Ph.D. Scholarships, 2022-23 should be nationals of Burundi, Kenya, Rwanda, South Sudan, Tanzania, and Uganda.
• The applicants for the LLM program should have a bachelor's degree in law (LLB) and a GPA of at least 3.0 or its equivalent from a recognized higher learning institution.
• The candidates applying for the Ph.D. program should have an LLM degree from a recognized institution.

Documents required:

• The applicants for University of Dar Es Salaam LLM and Ph.D. Scholarships, 2022-23 should submit signed curriculum vitae with evidence of legal and other relevant education, training and practical experience.
• The candidates should submit a motivation letter, a passport picture, and a research proposal 1,500 words for LLM and 3,000 words for Ph.D.
• The applicants are expected to submit a release letter from their employer if they are employed.
• The candidates should submit three recommendation letters, certified copies of all certificates such as birth certificate, school leaving certificate, and academic transcripts.
• The Ph.D. candidates should submit an electronic copy of their LLM dissertation.

Value of the LLM and Ph.D. Scholarships:

• The recipients of University of Dar Es Salaam LLM and Ph.D. Scholarships, 2022-23 get a stipend of 2,400 EUR for Tanzanians and of 3,000 EUR for non-Tanzanians.
• The scholarship also covers health insurance, a once-off research grant of 460 EUR for LLM and 920 EUR for Ph.D., and a housing allowance of 30 EUR per month.
