Toni K Weingarten Youth in Theatre Scholarship at San Francisco State University 2024

This scholarship covers educational expenses for a transfer student from Laney College to complete their Junior and Senior years as a Theatre Arts major at San Francisco State University.

Eligibility criteria:

• Applicants must self-describe financial need but need not qualify for financial aid through FAFSA or the CA Dream Act.
• The recipient must complete their coursework at SF State within two academic years.
• The applicants must maintain good academic standing with a minimum GPA of 3.0.
• This scholarship is available to all students, regardless of immigration status.
• Applicants must be enrolled in an undergraduate-level majoring in Theatre Arts.

Value: up to 25,000

Application requirements: Students must submit a general application and answer supplementary questions to qualify for the scholarship.

Selection criteria: Applications will be evaluated based on

• Recommendations highlighting the student’s talents and motivation
• Performance and participation at Laney College
• Involvement in theatre beyond Laney
• Application detailing interest in theatre and future goals after SF State
