Tom Osipenko Memorial Nursing Scholarship at Lakehead University 2026

Overview:

Established in 1991 by the family, colleagues and friends of Tom Osipenko. Awarded to a student who is a long-time resident of the City of Thunder Bay and who is a third year nursing student intending to register in the fourth year of the Nursing Degree program. Awarded on the basis of high academic standing and demonstrated leadership and concern for others. Preference will be given to a student interested in gerontology. Financial need may be considered.

Eligibility for Tom Osipenko Memorial Nursing Scholarship:

• Must be an undergraduate student in the Nursing degree program at Lakehead University
• Must be a third-year Nursing student intending to register in the fourth year of the program
• Must be a long-time resident of the City of Thunder Bay
• Must demonstrate high academic standing, as defined by the University
• Must demonstrate leadership and a strong concern for others
• Preference given to students with an interest in gerontology
• Financial need may be considered in the selection process
