Overview:
It is with great pleasure that we announce the 9th Annual LJMU-VC PhD Studentship competition. This continues to be a highly successful program supporting excellent students in all five Faculties. As we continue to develop our research and knowledge exchange culture, recruiting high-quality PhD students is an important part of the LJMU Strategy 2030.
Eligibility for the PhD Scholarships:
- Applicants must be currently enrolled in Master’s programs (Taught or Research M-level awards) and must have completed their course prior to the enrolment in the PhD at LJMU in February 2024.
- Students already enrolled in an LJMU PhD (or any other level 8 program of study) are not eligible to apply.
- This specific scholarship program does not support Professional Doctorates or any other non-PhD level 8 registrations.
Documents Required:
- A cover letter describing their skills and interest related to the Ph.D. project they're applying for
- Academic CV
- A statement of your order of preference/interest in the Ph.D. opportunities
- 2 academic referees.
Value of the Scholarship:
- Tuition fee waiver.
- Running costs of GBP 1,600.
- Maintenance stipend of GBP 16,062 per year.
