Overseas Scholarship for OBC Students provide financial assistance to OBC students from Kerala pursuing postgraduate and doctoral studies in recognized foreign universities, thereby promoting higher education and skill development.
Eligibility Criteria for Overseas Scholarship for OBC Students:
Applicants must:
- Be a member of the Other Backward Classes (OBC) in Kerala.
- Hold a First Class or at least 60% marks in their undergraduate degree.
- Be admitted to a Master's or PhD program.
- Pursue courses in Engineering, Management, Pure Sciences, Agricultural Sciences, Medicine, Law, or Social Sciences.
- Enroll in a university ranked among the top 600 in the Times Higher Education rankings.
- Have an annual family income not exceeding ₹6 lakh.
- Preferably align their higher studies with their undergraduate discipline.
- Have relevant work experience (additional weightage given).
Value of Overseas Scholarship for OBC Students:
- Up to ₹10 lakh
- Provided for the duration of the course or up to 3 years, whichever is shorter.
