Neville Bonner Memorial Scholarship at Flinders University 2025

Eligibility:

The award is available annually to a student who:

• Is of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent.
  Is recognized as such by their community.
• Is currently enrolled (or has been enrolled) in a Bachelor’s degree program with majors relevant to an Honours year in politics, political science, or related subjects at an accredited Australian university.
• Receives an offer of admission into an eligible Honours program.

Application Process:

• Complete the online application form on the website.
• Refer to the 'Applicant Information Document' under Reference documents for guidance.
• The online application should include:
  • A completed application form
  • Original academic transcript(s)
  • A personal statement (2 pages)
  • Two academic references
  • A personal reference
  • Written evidence of Indigenous status
  • Confirmation of Honours acceptance

Value:

• The scholarship value is equivalent to the Australian Government Research Training Program Scholarship Stipend, approximately $33,511 in 2025.
• The scholarship covers upfront payments for the student contribution amounts related to the Honours year of study.
• The award is paid in two equal installments over the duration of the scholarship.
