Netball WA Sports Excellence Scholarship in Netball 2024

Netball WA has donated funds to The University of Western Australia to establish a scholarship to assist and encourage high-performing student athletes in the sport of netball, with an interest in a career in the mining industry, to commence and pursue an undergraduate qualification at the University and realise their dual career focus.

Eligibility criteria:

• Applicants must demonstrate an interest in mining and in a career in the mining industry.
• Applicants must be a registered and active member of a Netball WA affiliate club and be a commencing student.
• Applicants must qualify for the UWA Student Athlete Development Program as at least a tier three athlete for the sport of netball.
• Applicants must be enrolled in or eligible to enroll in an undergraduate degree course at the university.

Application process:

• Application must be submitted before the deadline advertised.
• Applicants must include in their application a statement (maximum of 300 words) outlining their interest in mining and a career in the mining industry, including comments on how the scholarship will assist them with their course of study to achieve this.
