Latin American and The Caribbean Translation Scholarships 2025-26

Eligibility:

• The Latin American and The Caribbean Translation Scholarships 2025-26 are available to students from Latin American countries or English-speaking Caribbean islands who are ordinarily resident in one of the listed countries.
• Applicants must hold an unconditional offer for a full-time MA in Translation, Interpreting & Subtitling or MA Translation & Professional Practice (Spanish or Portuguese strands) at the University of Essex, starting in the 2025-26 academic year.
• The scholarship is awarded based on academic merit and is available for the first year of Master's study only.
• Students who defer their entry or receive other University of Essex scholarships are not eligible.

Application Process:

• To apply for the Latin American and The Caribbean Translation Scholarships 2025-26, eligible students must submit the application form available on the University of Essex website by 30 June 2025.
• As part of the application, a 500-word statement on why the scholarship would be beneficial to the applicant is required.
• The selection process will review eligibility, supporting statements, and academic merit.

Value or Benefit:

• Each scholarship is worth £5,000, which will be awarded to five successful applicants.
• The scholarship is applicable to the first year of study only and cannot be combined with any other University of Essex scholarships.
• Students should be available for promotional activities as part of the award.
