Latin America and the Caribbean Undergraduate Scholarship 2025-26
The Latin America and the Caribbean Undergraduate Scholarship provides an automatic tuition fee discount to eligible international students from specified countries enrolling at the University of Essex for their undergraduate studies in 2025-26.

Eligibility:

• Overseas Fee Payers: The scholarship is for self-funded students assessed for overseas fees.
• Country of Residence: Applicants must be ordinarily resident in one of the specified countries, such as Colombia, Argentina, Brazil, Mexico, and others.
• Undergraduate Degree: You must register for the first year (Year 1) of a full-time undergraduate degree in October 2025-26.
• No Other Scholarships: The scholarship cannot be combined with other University of Essex scholarships.
• Successful Applicants: Must be available for promotional activities.

Application Process:

• Automatic Consideration: Eligible students will automatically be considered based on the country of domicile and fee status provided in their application for a place at Essex.
• No separate application form is required.

Value/Benefits:

• For Colombian students, the scholarship provides £5,000 for Year 1 and £4,000 for Year 2 and 3.
• For students from other specified countries, including Argentina, Brazil, Mexico, etc., the scholarship offers £5,000 in Year 1.
• This scholarship aims to support students from Latin America and the Caribbean with a financial contribution to their tuition fees over the course of their undergraduate degree at the University of Essex.
