Eligibility Criteria for Japanese Government Scholarships Undergraduate Students (UG) 2025:

Applicants must:

Be an Indian national with a valid passport.
Be born on or after 2 April 2001 (for the 2026 cycle).
Have completed Class 12 (or equivalent) with strong academic results (minimum 80% marks if completed before the application deadline).
If Class 12 result is not yet available, have 80% in Class 10 plus a provisional certificate stating expected marks above 80%.
Preference given to those with Japanese language ability.
Meet health and other MEXT eligibility requirements as described in official guidelines.

Value of Japanese Government Scholarships Undergraduate Students (UG) 2025:

Tuition fees exempted (full tuition waiver).
Monthly living allowance: ~¥117,000 per month (approx. ₹68,000–₹70,000).
Round‑trip airfare to/from Japan.
