Halde Botany Endowed Scholarship Fund at San Francisco State University 2024

The Halde Scholarship for Botany majors is set to be awarded in the Fall 2024 semester. All undergraduate and graduate students studying plants or fungi, or those pursuing botany or mycology, are encouraged to apply.

Eligibility criteria:

• Applicant must be enrolled as a full-time Biology (graduate or undergraduate) student during the application and award period. 
• Open to all nationals. 
• Undergraduate students must be enrolled in at least 12 units, while graduate students must be enrolled in at least 8 units.
• Biology students focusing on the study of plants or fungi, or those pursuing botany or mycology, are eligible.

Selection: The Selection Committee will evaluate applications based on academic potential, communication skills in research, the scholarship's impact on the applicant, and any additional criteria they announce.

Value: $4,000.00

Application requirements: 

• Applicants must write an essay (under 1000 words) on their future goals, SFSU's role in achieving them, your financial support, and the impact of the scholarship.
• Obtain a recommendation from an SFSU Biology faculty member, highlighting your academic performance and relevant experiences. Deadline: May 31st.
• Provide unofficial transcripts for all previous and current graduate and undergraduate work.
