This prize honours the abilities of incoming graduate students who have proven to be highly accomplished academically. It entails a maximum of three years (six semesters) of continuous full-time enrollment (nine credits) at a maximum cost of $3,000 per year in tuition-only credit. Applicants taking fewer than nine graduate-level credits per semester may be eligible for proration; however, to qualify, you must register for at least three graduate-level credits each semester. Furthermore, this scholarship is only available for the fall and spring semesters; graduate courses that are provided at a reduced tuition cost are not eligible for it.

Eligibility for Graduate Scholar Award at NYIT:

  • The FAFSA must be completed by the applicant (only US students).
  • The candidate needs to have been granted admission to a graduate program with matriculation.
  • The applicant must have completed courses offered at a reduced tuition rate and hold a bachelor's degree with a 3.3 CGPA.
  • Scholarships are not available to bridge students while they are enrolled in bridging courses. After they matriculate into their degree program, they become eligible. Bridge students must have completed all bridge coursework with a CGPA of 3.3 to be eligible for scholarships after matriculating. They also need to have earned a minimum of 3.3 for their bachelor's degree.
  • An applicant must have received a high enough composite score on the verbal and quantitative parts of the GRE, as decided by their academic department if their program calls for one.
  • Applicants seeking an M.B.A. must achieve at least 400 on the GMAT.
  • A minimum TOEFL score of 79, IELTS score of 6, PTE score of 53, or Duolingo score of 105 is required for international students.
