This Prize was established in 1975 by the family of the late George S Holmes, MSc NZ, who was a Senior Lecturer in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Auckland from 1968—1972 and Director of the DipBIA program during the years 1970—1972.
Eligibility for George S Holmes Memorial Prize 2024:
- The George S Holmes Memorial Prize will be awarded annually to the most meritorious student completing the requirements for the Postgraduate Diploma in Business (PGDipBus) in the year of the award, taking into account all work over the whole program.
- As a minimum standard, the student should have achieved a GPA of 7.00 (equivalent to an A- average).
- In the event of a tie, the Prize will be awarded to the student who achieved the highest aggregate marks.

The student is not required to fill out an online application or apply for this scholarship, award, or prize. It is given out based on the advice of the appropriate University of Auckland committee or faculty.
