This scholarship, which recognizes distinction in science, information technology, and engineering, aims to encourage students who can positively impact the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals by funding scholars based on excellence and equity. Students pursuing degrees in IT, science, and engineering will be the main audience for the awards. Students with proof of hardship or disadvantage—including, but not limited to, financial difficulty, non-English speaking background, regional disadvantage, and disability—will be given preference.
Eligibility for Faculty of Science and Engineering Sustainability Scholarship at the University of Macquarie University:
- In Session 1 of 2024, the applicant must be enrolled in or about to enrol in an undergraduate or graduate program in the Faculty of Science and Engineering.
- The candidate must intend to study internally (i.e., on campus) full-time.
- The applicant must provide evidence of their strong academic performance.
- The candidate needs to show that they have what it takes to contribute to the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
- Students who can demonstrate financial difficulty or disadvantage will be given preference.
