Chevening Gurukul Fellowship for Leadership and Excellence at University of Oxford 2025-26

Chevening is offering the Chevening Gurukul Fellowship for Leadership and Excellence in the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office’s flagship fellowship for India.

Aim of the Program:

The fellowship is aimed at young high-flyers and mid-career professionals from diverse backgrounds with strong and demonstrable leadership potential. The fellowship addresses issues faced by leaders in all fields and explores changing ideas and practices of leadership, looking at the implications of globalization for Indian leaders.

Eligibility Criteria for the Chevening Gurukul Fellowship Program :

• The applicant must be an Indian citizen currently living in the country.
• The applicant must return to India at the end of the fellowship.
• The applicant must have a master's level qualification or equivalent professional training or work experience in a relevant area.
• The applicant must have at least ten years of work experience.
• The applicant should be an experienced professional with leadership skills suitable for various fields like government, business, media, and non-profit organizations.
• The applicant must have a good working knowledge of English.
• The applicant must not hold British or dual-British citizenship.
• The applicant cannot be a current or former employee, a relative of such an employee, or have worked for the last two years at Chevening Applications, the British Council, a UK university sponsor, or an ACU staff member.
