Biology Dept Wild Rice Wetland Graduate Bursary at Lakehead University 2026

Overview:

Awarded to a full-time graduate student in Biology involved in wetlands research with preference to the study of wild rice, on the basis of financial need. The recipient must be a Canadian citizen or a landed immigrant of Canada and must have lived in Ontario for at least twelve months in a row. The Department of Biology will forward their selection to the Office of Graduate Studies.

Eligibility for Biology Dept Wild Rice Wetland Graduate Bursary:

• Must be a full-time graduate student enrolled in the Biology program
• Must be conducting research in wetlands, with preference given to those studying wild rice
• Selection is based on financial need
• Must be a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident of Canada
• Must have resided in Ontario for at least twelve consecutive months prior to receiving the award
• The Department of Biology will forward its selected candidate to the Office of Graduate Studies
