Eligibility Criteria

To apply for the DOC Fellowship, candidates must meet the following conditions:

Degree Requirements:

• You must have completed your Diplom or Master’s degree no more than two years prior to the submission of your application.
• The date of submission must be no later than 1 July of the year you apply.

University Enrollment:

• You must be currently writing your doctoral or PhD thesis at an Austrian university.

Admission Requirements:

• You should meet the admission requirements for doctoral/PhD studies at the university where you are enrolled.

Project Exposé and Reference:

• You are required to submit a project exposé outlining your research, as well as a reference from your doctoral supervisor. 

Application Evaluation Criteria

The selection of applicants is based on the following criteria:

• Academic Qualifications: This includes your course of studies, the duration of your studies, and the marks you achieved.
• If applicable, proof of international experience such as study abroad or research stays.
• A list of publications can strengthen your application.
