The Dan F Jones Scholarship in Science was established through the Victoria University of Wellington Foundation in 1998 by a bequest from Dan Fletcher Jones, a supporter of science and mathematics. The scholarship aims to provide financial assistance to students facing hardship while pursuing Honours or postgraduate studies in Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Chemistry, Biology, or Earth Sciences at Victoria University of Wellington.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Applicants must be current students at Te Herenga Waka-Victoria University of Wellington.
- Applicants must be studying to complete an Honours degree in Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Chemistry, Biology, or Earth Sciences at Te Herenga Waka-Victoria University of Wellington.
- Applicants must be facing financial hardship.
Application Process:
All scholarship applications are submitted through Community Force. Applicants must complete the Financial Information section of the application. A completed online application must be submitted by 4.30 pm on the closing date.
Value of the Scholarship:
The scholarship offers a value of NZD 7,000 (subject to funds available) for one year.
