Emergency Accommodation Bursary at ANU 2024-25

The ANU Emergency Undergraduate Accommodation Bursary is designed to assist full-time ANU students, established in permanent accommodation, who are experiencing unexpected financial hardship. Priority may be given to students nearing the end of their studies and needing assistance to complete them. All applications are considered by a committee. 

Eligibility for ANU Emergency Undergraduate Accommodation Bursary:

• Applicants may come from any nationality.
• Applicants must be enrolled in an undergraduate, or postgraduate degree at the University.
• Applicants must be enrolled in at least one course (if a coursework student) or at least 24 units (if a higher degree research student) during the period.
• Applicants must not have received the award for 52 weeks during their current level of study.
• Applicants residing in an on-campus residence, must not have any serious breaches of their Occupancy Agreement recorded.
• Applicants must not have received $35,000 yearly in other scholarships, grants, bursaries, or prizes awarded by the ANU.
• Applicants need to show proof of financial difficulties and provide documents to show their situation has changed, causing hardship.

Application Process:

• All eligible candidates must complete and submit the online application form to be considered for the scholarship.
• The candidates must provide copies of the bank statements from all domestic and international accounts including credit cards (if applicable) for the last 6 months and up to the date of applying.

Value of the Bursary:

• Applications are assessed and awarded at the discretion of a committee and may include a personal interview.
• The committee will determine the amount of any bursary granted.
