QUT Postgraduate Research Award (QUTPRA) 2024

About the scholarship:

Through the provision of QUTPRAs to students who have extraordinary research potential, the institution is fostering research excellence. The quantity of QUTPRAs available changes annually.

Eligibility for the QUT Postgraduate Research Award (QUTPRA):

• For a research degree, applicants must fulfill any requirements at QUT, including the English language proficiency requirement.
• No applicant should be eligible for a second living allowance scholarship to pursue a research degree.
• To be eligible to apply, current QUT research students must have completed less than the equivalent full-time study load (EFTSL) shown below:
• less than 1-year EFTSL for enrolled research doctorate students
• less than 6 months EFTSL for enrolled research masters students

• Submit the application form.
• Curriculum vitae mentioning research achievements like publications.
• The applicants should submit all the supporting documents before the deadline.

Benefits:

• A monthly allowance for living expenses that is paid twice a year and is adjusted annually. The yearly stipend rate for scholarships financed by QUT will be $32,192 (AUD) for scholarships not sponsored by QUT (i.e., faculty, school, supervisor, or externally funded scholarships) and $33,637 (AUD) for full-time scholarships starting on January 1, 2024.
• The Australian Government funds an offset for the fees associated with the Research Training Program (RTP) for domestic students.
• If qualified, international students are awarded a QUT tuition fee sponsorship and single overseas health insurance.
