      To be eligible for this scholarship, applicants must be residents of Maharashtra. It's also advisable to explore education loan options, as they can cover all education-related expenses. Relying solely on scholarships may not always be sufficient.

Post Matric Scholarship to SBC Students, Maharashtra 2023/24 is offered for High/Secondary School, Bachelors, Masters, PhD, Diploma, MBA, Medicine (MBBS/ MD) degree in the field of All Subjects. The VJNT, OBC, and SBC Welfare Department of the Government of Maharashtra launched the Post Matric Scholarship to SBC Students, Maharashtra 2023–24 program to provide financial assistance to SBC category students who have completed Class 10 and are pursuing post-matric education. The award seeks to support postsecondary education and ease students' transition into the regular school system. In addition to other perks, the chosen students will get a maintenance allowance of up to INR 425 per month.

Eligibility Criteria for Post Matric Scholarship to SBC Students, Maharashtra 2023/24:

  • Students need to be a resident of Maharashtra.
  • Students should belong to the Special Backward Classes (SBC) category.
  • Students must be pursuing the education course at the post-matric level approved by the government.
  • Students should have obtained admission through the Centralised Admission Process (CAP) round (for students pursuing professional courses).
  • Students must have 75% attendance for the current year.
  • Students should have an annual family income less than/ equal to INR 1,50,000.

Application Process:

Students need to submit an application form ONLINE only.

  • Caste certificate 
  • Income Certificate/Income Declaration
  • Caste validity certificate (Mandatory for professional degree courses and professional postgraduate courses)
  • Declaration certificate of parents/guardian about the number of beneficiary children
  • HSC or SSC mark sheet or last examination mark sheet
  • Leaving certificate
  • Ration card
  • Gap certificate (if applicable)
  • Death certificate of the father/guardian (if applicable)

Note:

If the applicant takes an admission on or before the 20th of any month, a maintenance allowance will be issued for that current month. Otherwise, maintenance allowance will be entitled from next month.
